Frequently Asked Question

Can the Wall Connector charge non-Tesla cars?
Yes. The Gen 3 Wall Connector is designed to charge any electric vehicle that uses a standard Type 2 connector, which is the most common type in the UK and Europe.

How fast will it charge my car?
This depends on your home’s electrical supply. On a typical UK single-phase supply, it will charge at up to 7.4 kW, adding around 30 miles of range per hour. If you have a three-phase supply, it can charge at up to 22 kW, adding over 80 miles of range per hour (vehicle permitting).

What is Power Sharing?
This smart feature allows multiple Wall Connectors (up to four) on the same electrical circuit to communicate with each other. They automatically balance the power distribution, allowing several vehicles to charge simultaneously without overloading your home’s circuit.

Do I need a special device for safety?
UK wiring regulations require specific protection for EV chargers. Our certified installers will include all necessary safety equipment, such as a PEN fault detection device, to ensure your installation is fully compliant and safe.

Can I use the Wall Connector to charge with my solar panels?
Yes. When paired with a home battery like the Tesla Powerwall, you can use the Tesla app to prioritise charging your EV with surplus solar energy stored in the battery, making your driving even greener and cheaper.
